Trudeau’s abortion policies raising ire in Canada as well

Re: ‘Trudeau abortion view raises ire of US right,” Jan. 16 Those of the U.S. right are not alone. Mr. Trudeau’s abortion policies raise the ire of many Canadians also. Mr. Trudeau’s views are shared by other like-minded people, but not by Canadians as a whole. Denying federal job support for students with the wrong social opinions is not Mr. Trudeau’s only similar violation of democracy. People with pro-life views were barred from being Liberal candidates in the last federal election. An editorial in the same issue proclaimed that “It’s time for Canada to do better on foreign aid.” How true. Did you know that the Trudeau government has designated $650 million over three years to promote the imposition of abortion and other unwanted policies on aid-receiving countries? This is money taken from Canada’s general foreign aid budget. Yes, it’s time for Canada to do better. Charmaine Wood Irvine, Alta. 8-7
