Dangerous intersection needs attention

The road meeting Dunmore Road coming out of the Medicine Hat Mall (the Wendy’s corner) is dangerous, because it’s unsigned for people making a right turn from the mall side onto Dunmore Road.

There is no indication to drivers coming from the area of the mall that vehicles making a left turn off Ross Glen Drive have the right of way.

This has caused many a near miss daily and has the potential for fatal accidents. It is especially dangerous for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Visitors stopping in the city for lunch, coffee or going to the mall are unaware of the danger and highly at risk.

It should be signed “no right turn on red light,” as we have at the intersection of Kingsway and South Railroad, which is less of a danger.

We need to do something before someone is fatally or seriously injured.
