Stampede Roundup: Lots to be excited about this Holiday Season – including a big surprise

The Holiday Season is nearly upon us, and with it comes the return of the Servus Credit Union Olde Tyme Christmas Fair & Market and the Beef Pen Show & Cowboy Christmas Trade Show – but wait, there’s more!

This Tuesday at 10 a.m., the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede will be making a very exciting announcement, so keep your eyes on our Facebook page and your local media to stay up to date on this big news! Unfortunately, I can’t reveal any more than that right now, but I can tell you it’s already shaping up to be an incredible summer in Medicine Hat!

Once the dust settles from that big reveal, the Stampede is thrilled to welcome Santa Claus back to Co-op Pioneer Village on Thursday, Dec. 4 for another fun-filled evening of free festive cheer at Olde Tyme Christmas!

Bring the whole family out for free hot dogs, s’mores and hot chocolate, free wagon rides and free photos with Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick. Cozy up around the campfire, explore a fully staffed Pioneer Village and get in some shopping at the market in the Cypress Centre. The market runs 4-9 p.m. in the Cypress Centre, with the Fair running 5-8 in Co-op Pioneer Village.

A few short weeks later, and the cattle will be coming back to the Fieldhouse for the 27th annual Beef Pen Show & Cowboy Christmas Trade Show.

This one-of-a-kind event runs Dec. 19-20 at the Cypress Centre Fieldhouse, featuring hundreds of breeders, the SweetPro Canada Steak Sampling on Friday at 6 p.m., cattle viewing all weekend long, 4-H classes, raffles, last-minute Christmas shopping and so much more.
