Medicine Hat News Local staff of Cenovus Energy Inc. delivered a turkey dinner with all the trimmings to the Rolling Hills Seniors Drop in Centre Oct. 4 and helped pack emergency food hampers for families in need at the Medicine Hat Food Bank as part of the company’s annual Thanks & Giving campaign. It’s the eighth straight year that Cenovus employees have dedicated the month of October to volunteering in the communities where they live and work in honour of the Thanksgiving season. Cenovus’s Thanks & Giving campaign also encourages employees to plan their donations for the year by giving to registered charities that are meaningful to them. In turn, Cenovus matches their donations dollar for dollar, to a maximum of $25,000 per employee, per year. Since 2010, Cenovus employees have donated more than $15 million (including the company match), volunteered more than 2,800 hours of their time, donated almost 68,000 pounds of food and supported more than 1,000 organizations during the Thanks & Giving campaign. 6
