TORONTO – The defending Vanier Cup champion Montreal Carabins topped the first Canadian university football rankings list of the 2024-25 season.
The Carabins (1-0), who opened the campaign with a 45-14 rout of the Sherbrooke Vert & Or last week, led a top three that included Western (1-0) and UBC (0-0).
The rest of the top 10 in Monday’s U Sports list included Laval (1-0), Laurier (1-0), Windsor (1-0), Alberta (0-0), St.FX (0-0), Saskatchewan (0-0) and Bishop’s (1-0).
The Carabins defeated the Thunderbirds 16-9 in last year’s title game in Kingston, Ont.
