QMJHL Roundup: Jonathan Fauchon stars in overtime as the Armada sink Olympiques 4-3

BOISBRIAND, Que. – Jonathan Fauchon scored his second goal of the game 34 seconds into overtime as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada edged the Gatineau Olympiques 4-3 on Wednesday in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action.

Xavier Villeneuve and Justin Carbonneau had the other goals for Blainville-Boisbriand (29-28-6).

Edouard Gauthier made 30 saves for the win in net.

Sander Wold, Justin Dumais and Charles Boutin all scored for Gatineau (23-30-11).

Olympiques goaltender Kian Hodgins stopped 18 shots.

The Armada scored on both of their power plays and Gatineau went 0 for 4 with the man advantage.

TIGRES 5 HUSKIES 4 (SO)

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. – Joseph Henneberry and Maxime Pellerin both scored in the shootout as the Tigres slipped past Rouyn-Noranda.

Henneberry also scored in regulation time for Victoriaville (41-18-4), while Justin Gendron, Egor Goriunov and Tommy Cormier added goals.

Andrei Loshko, Daniil Bourash, Benjamin Brunelle and Jérémy Langlois supplied the offence for the Huskies (42-15-6).

VOLTIGEURS 6 FOREURS 3

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. – Maxime-Olivier Drolet scored twice as the Voltigeurs doubled Val-D’Or.

Noah Reinhart, Maxime Lafond, Mikael Huchette and Ethan Gauthier rounded out the attack for Drummondville (43-14-6).

Alix Durocher, Xavier Sarrasin and Samuel Fiala replied for the Foreurs (15-43-5).

DRAKKAR 4 REMPARTS 1

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. – Justin Poirier scored and had two assists as the Drakkar topped Quebec.

Louis-Charles Plourde, Justin Gill and Felix Gagnon had the other goals for Baie-Comeau (50-11-3).

Alexandre Desmarais was the lone scorer for the Remparts (21-38-4).

RIMOUSKI, Que. – Thomas Desruisseaux had a hat trick as Chicoutimi sailed past the Oceanic.

Loïc Usereau hada pair of goals for the Sagueneens (33-24-7), while Émile Guité and Jérémy D’Astous added singles.

Quinn Kennedy and Maxim Barbashev scored for Rimouski (34-25-5).
