QMJHL Roundup: Lacerte scores hat trick, Cataractes beat Sea Dogs 6-1

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Félix Lacerte scored a hat trick as the Shawinigan Cataractes defeated the Saint John Sea Dogs 6-1 on Thursday night in the Quebec Maritimes Hockey League.

Lacerte scored twice in the first period before adding an empty-net goal at 17:17 of the third for his 20th of the season.

Jordan Tourigny had a goal and two assists, Jiri Klima produced a goal and an assist, and Noah McKinnon also scored for Shawinigan (18-21-3). Vince Élie pitched in with two assists.

Cataractes goaltender Félix Hamel kicked out 25 shots.

Eriks Mateiko scored the lone goal for Saint John (15-22-6), which lost its second game on back-to-back nights.

Sea Dogs netminder Justin Robinson made 22 saves.
