QMJHL roundup: Islanders come out on top of Sea Dogs 6-3

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – William Shields scored twice as Charlottetown Islanders topped Saint John Sea Dogs 6-3;

Anthony Flanagan, Giovanni Morneau, Simon Hughes and Alexis Michaud all scored once for Charlottetown.

Islanders goaltender Carter Bickle saved 37 of 40 shots.

Matteo Mann, Brody Fournier and Tyler Peddle all scored once for Saint John.

Sea Dogs goaltender Patrick Leaver saved 29 of 34 shots.


MOOSE JAW – Brayden Schuurman scored a goal and 2 assists as Moose Jaw Warriors topped Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Kalem Parker, Matthew Savoie, Brayden Yager, Atley Calvert and Denton Mateychuk all scored once for Moose Jaw.

Warriors netminder Evan May stopped 22 of 25 shots.

Miguel Marques, Dylan Sydor and Sean Tschigerl all scored once for Lethbridge.

Hurricanes goaltender Brady Smith stopped 37 of 43 shots.


BLAINVILLE-BOISBRIAND – Yoan Loshing scored twice as Moncton Wildcats defeated Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

Miles Mueller, Gabe Smith and Alex Mercier all scored once for Moncton.

Wildcats netminder Keegan Warren saved 24 of 27 shots.

Mathis Cloutier scored twice while Olivier Lemieux scored once for Blainville-Boisbriand.

Armada goaltender Olivier Ciarlo stopped 36 of 40 shots.
