TORONTO – Jazz head coach Will Hardy wore a bright red Team Canada jacket to his pre-game media conference hours before Utah played the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.
Hardy says the fashion statement was him paying off a wager to Jazz assistant coach Scott Morrison.
The two coaches had a friendly bet on the bronze-medal game at the FIBA World Cup this past summer.
Canada beat the United States 127-118 on Sept. 10 to claim third at the international men’s basketball tournament.
Hardy says that if Canada had lost, Morrison would have had to wear an Uncle Sam Halloween costume.
The Jazz head coach allowed that the jacket looked good on him.
