VANCOUVER – Goaltender Ty Young has agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
Young was selected in the fifth round, 144th overall, in the 2022 NHL Entry draft.
The 19-year-old Young appeared in a career-high 34 games for the Western Hockey League’s Prince George Cougars last season.
He had a15-13-13 record with a 3.89 goals-against average and .889 save percentage.
Young split his 2021-22 season between the Cougars and the AJHL’s Calgary Canucks, where he had a .918 save percentage and a 3.38 GAA.
