NEW YORK – Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid, Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark and Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson have been named the NHL three stars of the week.

McDavid led the league with six goals and 11 points in three games as the Oilers posted a 2-1 week and moved into third place in the Pacific Division.

He had two goals and an assist in the third period and his eighth game-winning goal of the season as the Oilers posted a 4-2 comeback victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday.

He reached the 800-point milestone in that game, becoming the fifth-fastest (545th game) and fifth-youngest (26 years 39 days) player in league history to do so.

McDavid had two goals and two assists in his next two games – a 7-2 win over Pittsburgh on Thursday and a 6-5 loss to Columbus on Saturday.

The four-time Art Ross Trophy winner as the NHL’s leading scorer is out in front again this season. He had 113 points (48 goals, 65 assists) in 60 games heading into a game Monday night against Boston.

Ullmark went 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and .966 save percentage to help the league-leading Bruins extend their winning streak to six games.

He became the 13th goaltender in NHL history to score a regular-season goal in Boston’s 3-1 win over Vancouver on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Ullmark led the league in wins (30), goals-against average (1.86) and save percentage (.938) heading into Monday’s games.

Gibson went 2-0-1 with a 2.64 GAA, .947 save percentage and made a league-best 143 saves – highlighted by a pair of 51-save performances.
