OTTAWA – Olivier Nadeau scored four goals to lead the Gatineau Olympiques to a convincing 5-2 win over the OHL-best Ottawa 67’s in Game 1 of the Alexandra Cup on Thursday.

Riley Kidney added the other for Gatineau (33-12-4-2), which sits atop the QMJHL’s Western Conference.

Francesco Lapenna made 29 saves for the Olympiques.

Cameron Tolnai and Caden Kelly replied for Ottawa (35-10-2-2). Max Donoso surrendered five goals on 24 shots through the first two periods before Collin MacKenzie stopped 6-of-6 shots in relief.

The two sides will meet again on Saturday in Gatineau, Que.

James Hardie, with two goals, Angus MacDonell and Jack Van Volsen responded for Mississauga (24-21-4). Alessio Beglieri stopped 22-of-27 shots.

PETERBOROUGH, ONT. – Tucker Robertson netted a hat trick along with one assist to help power the Peterborough Petes to an 8-3 win over the Oshawa Generals.

Connor Lockhart, Owen Beck, J.R. Avon, Chase Stillman and Gavin White provided the rest of the offence for Peterborough (26-20-1-2). Liam Sztuska made 16 saves.

Matthew Buckley, Calum Ritchie and Dylan Roobroeck replied for Oshawa (20-23-1-3). Carter Bickle stopped 32 shots.
