Jordan Phillips had three hits that propelled him into first in the WCBL with 50 hits on the season. He added two runs scored as well. Landon Mokris tallied two hits with two RBIs, a run scored and drew two walks.

Thursday’s win put the Mavs back into second place of the East division with a 17-13 record, tied with the Moose Jaw Miller Express who share the same record.

They were back at Saskatoon on Friday, before heading to Regina for a two-game set against the East division-leading Red Sox on Saturday and Sunday. Medicine Hat and Moose Jaw trail Regina by three and a half games entering play Friday.

They are both three and a half games ahead of fourth-place Saskatoon.
