Sr. Hawks split baseball doubleheader Thursday

The Medicine Hat High Hawks Sr. boys baseball team had an even record Thursday afternoon on the road.

The Hawks had a doubleheader in Lethbridge, winning their first game 14-2 over the Magrath Zeniths and losing 18-8 to the Catholic Central Cougars.

Cade Moch led the Hawks’ offence in their win, tallying three RBIs with two hits and two runs scored. Jake Collier had three hits with an RBI and two runs scored and Parker Hunt had two RBIs with two hits and two runs scored.

Anii Jimbo started the game and had two strikeouts in three innings pitched. Hunt worked the final two frames, with two strikeouts.

Matt Getz had two RBIs with three hits and a run scored in the Hawks’ second game. Landon MacPherson had two RBIs on two hits with a run scored.

Ryler Straaup started the game with a strikeout in an inning of work before Much took over and recorded six punch-outs in 4.2 innings. Kyler Suberlak finished the game on the mound.
