The Medicine Hat U17 Thunder are golden once again.
The Thunder picked up their second gold medal of the season, winning all five of their games and first place at the Parkland Tournament in Stony Plain and over the weekend.
They opened the weekend with a 10-0 win Saturday over the U17 Camrose Crossfire.
Mackenzie Tindall led the offence with three RBIs, two hits and a run scored. Both Gracie Eddy and Gracie Ulmer tallied a hit and two RBIs each. Eddy also scored a run.
Adriene Campbell started the game on the mound, recording seven strikeouts in three innings of work. Ryleigh Jackiw struck out all three batters she faced in her lone inning of work.
They carried the momentum into a 12-1 win later in the day over the U17B River City Hornets.
Eddy tallied four RBIs with a hit and a run scored and both Ulmer and Jackiw scored three runs. Jackiw also added a hit and an RBI.
Jackiw started the game, with seven strikeouts in three innings pitched. Morgan Brown tossed one inning of relief, with one strikeout.
The Thunder won their first game Sunday, with a 9-2 victory over the U17B Leduc Jets.
Sydney Thompson had three RBIs with a hit and a run scored, and Eddy tallied two RBIs with a hit and a run scored. Clara Butterfield had two hits with a run and an RBI, and Campbell crossed the place twice.
Campbell also started the game, with 10 strikeouts in four innings of work. Brown took over in relief, with a punch-out in her lone inning on the mound.
Medicine Hat rounded out the day with an 8-1 win over the River City Hornets U17A team.
Thompson led the offence with three RBIs on two hits with a run scored. Campbell tallied a pair of twos, with two RBIs, two hits and two runs scored.
Campbell started the game and struck out 10 batters, pitching four innings. Jackiw came in relief with two punch outs in an inning of work.

Erika Want and Campbell each tallied two RBIs with a hit and a run scored. Eddy had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI and Tindall notched two hits with two runs scored.
Campbell started and recorded 10 strikeouts in four innings for the third straight game. Jackiw came in relief and recorded seven strikeouts in three innings of work.
