Twist and Flip Gymnastics competes in Airdrie

Medicine Hat’s Twist and Flip Gymnastics club was in action this weekend in Airdrie.

The local gymnastics club sent three male athletes to the Grizzly Classic Competition.

Ian Mwaura (11) and Isaac Mwaura (9) represented the club in the men’s provincial Level 1 groups in their age categories.

Ian was ninth All-around and placed fifth on Pommel Horse, sixth on High Bar, 10th on Floor and Parallel Bars, 11th on the Vault and 12th on Rings.

Isaac was fifth All-around and placed first on Vault, fourth on High Bar, he tied for fourth on Rings, was sixth on Floor, seventh on Pommel Horse and 11th on Parallel Bars.

Lukas Young (13) competed in the men’s provincial Level 3 category for ages 13 plus.

Young was 15th All-around and received 14th place on Pommel Horse and Rings, 16th on Vault and Parallel Bars, 17th on High Bar and 20th on Floor.

The men’s athlete’s from Twist and Flip Gymnastics are now concentrating on provincial championships coming up the weekend of April 4-7.
