Tigers hand out team awards for 2023-24 season

The Medicine Hat Tigers handed out their team awards for the 2023-24 season over the weekend.

The Tigers announced the award winners before Saturday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The award winners are as follows:

MVP: Oasiz Wiesblatt and Gavin McKenna

Scholastic player of the year: Ethan McCallum

Rookie of the year: Gavin McKenna

Most improved player(s): Andrew Basha and Tomas Mrsic

Gerard Moyer Leadership award: Tyler MacKenzie

Supplement King Hardest Working player(s): Nate Corbet and Zach Zahara

Community service: Shane Smith

Best defencemen: Dru Krebs and Bogdans Hodass

Unsung hero: Rhett Parsons

Top defensive forward: Hunter St. Martin
