U18 SAHA men’s team wraps season with win

The South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 men’s team CSSHL season came to a close Friday.

SAHA finished their Western prep championship with a 1-2 record, capping off with a 5-1 win Friday over St. George’s School.

Carter Cunningham scored twice and all three of Landon Marleau, Will Bell and Julina Laqua scored as well. Noah Derouin had two assists and Ben Polhill made 37 saves.

They lost 8-2 Thursday to the Okanagan Hockey Academy.

Hudson Gainer and Marleau scored for SAHA and both Polhill and Mark Schlenker combined for 36 saves.

SAHA opened play Wednesday with a 7-4 loss to the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy. Kolby Gapter, Bruno Petrovics, Cash Olson and Josh Evaschesen all scored solo markers and Nate Yellowaga had three assists. Polhill made 28 saves.
