The Medicine Hat U13 Tier 2 Hounds won a division banner over the weekend.
The Hounds took care of business on Sunday with a 4-2 win over the Brooks Bandits, claiming the blue division title.
It was two-game final series, meaning the team with the most goal scored between the two games would win the banner. The Hounds came back from a deficit after losing 3-2 in Brooks on Saturday.
Marley Ward opened the scoreboard less than two minutes into the game Sunday and Carter Perry led the way in the win with two goals. Emerson Kurtz scored the division winner with less than five minutes to go in the third period, Jordan Babcock faced 31 shots.
The Hounds will take on the other U13 winning teams in their respective divisions (Yellow, Green and Red) next weekend in a round robin-style mini tournament. If they win that, the Hounds will advance to provincials in Slave Lake later this month.
