The Medicine Hat Cubs’ weekend was cut short due to weather Sunday.

Coming off a 7-4 loss Saturday to the Coaldale Copperheads, the Cubs game Sunday at home against the High River Flyers was postponed due to weather.

In Friday’s loss, Jamal Shaw recorded a goal and an assist and all three of Kyle Woolridge, Darnell Glasgo and Tash Armstrong found the back of the net.

Tyler Wakelam made 12 saves in the loss.

The Cubs (22-7-4) are tied with the Copperheads for second in the Southern division with 48 points in 33 games. They have two games in hand on Coaldale with five more games on their schedule.

They host the Okotoks Bisons on Friday and are on the road Sunday against the Cochrane Generals. The Bisons have already clinched first place in the South.
