Cypress School of Skating skates at Bassano event

The local figure skating school had 10 skaters medal at the Snowflakes and Sandcastles competition on Saturday. Macaria Crocker won silver in the spin, spiral and jump, and captured bronze in the creative solo event. Alexander Daly took silver in the Star 1 Freeskate and creative solo event. Sophia Daly won two gold medals, finishing first in the Star 4 Freeskate and creative solo. Élianne Desgagnés won her only event, taking gold in the Star 3 Freeskate. Jewel Geldreich brought home two golds, with first-place finishes in Star 3 Freeskate and Star 5 artistic solo. Reese Osmond also won two gold medals, finish first in the Star 2 Freeskate and creative solo. Kaley Ruckaber took silver in the Star 3 Freeskate and won gold in the creative solo. Kadance Stinson skated to a silver medal in the Star 5 Freeskate and a gold in Star 5 Artistic solo. Jaelie Varner finished first in the creative solo for gold and second in the Star 3 Freeskate for a silver medal. Hadley Vold collected two silver medals for her efforts in the Star 2 Freeskate and the creative solo. 14-13
