Minor Hockey roundup: U15AA SEAC Tigers undefeated over weekend

The Medicine Hat U15AA SEAC Tigers finished their month of December in winning fashion.

The U15AA South East Athletic Club Tigers went undefeated over the weekend, with a 5-3 win Saturday over the Bow Valley Timberwolves and a 3-3 tie with the Golden Suns on Sunday.

Creed Geekie scored three times in Saturday’s win, Gavin Perry added a goal and two assists. Alexzander Schabler also scored in the win, Jake Druar made 29 saves.

Dane Friedt had two goals in Sunday’s draw, with Cooper Craven adding a goal and an assist as well. Conner Aldag made 27 saves.

The U15AA SEAC Tigers (10-7-2) are off until Jan. 5 and 6.

U13

The U13AA Hounds won their lone contest over the weekend, beating the Wheatland Braves 8-5 on Saturday.

Macen Ibach had two goals and an assist and Fletcher Aadland added two goals of his own. Cooper Danroth, Johnson Raylan and Carter Jarvis each had a goal and an assist. Kovann Chisholm also found the back of the net and Hunter Numro made 34 saves.

The U13 Hounds (13-7-1) aren’t in action again until Jan. 6 and 7.

U16

The U16AA Hounds split their final weekend before the holidays.

The Hounds lost 5-3 to the West Central Tigers on Saturday and bounced back with a 6-4 win Sunday in rematch with West Central.

Brody Dick scored twice and Ryder Van Buskirk found the back of the net in Saturday’s loss. Grady Brost made 66 saves.

Ethan Hall led the offence in Sunday’s win with two goals and two assists. Van Buskirk had a goal and two assists of his own and Dick added two markers. Zander Weatherhead rounded out the offence with a goal, Kayden Van Ham made 44 saves in the win.

The U16AA Hounds (4-14-1) are off until Jan. 6 and 7.

U18

The U18AA Hounds had two games over the weekend.

The Hounds lost 4-3 to the East Kootenay Avalanche on Friday before winning 7-3 over the Avalanche on Saturday.

Nolan Sutherland had two goals and Blake Dosenberger had a goal of his own in Friday’s loss, Adam Ranger made 44 saves.

The statistics were not released for Saturday’s win.

The U18AA Hounds (4-11-4) are next in action on Jan. 7.
