AMAC swim club races at LASC Fall Challenge over weekend

The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club kicked off its swim season this weekend. AMAC competed at the LASC Fall Challenge held at the Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre in Lethbridge, bringing home medals, new best times and several provincial standard achievements. Here are those with top-20 results: Female 10 and under Carleigh Gainsborough (10): Finished second in 200m Breast, third in 50m Back, fourth in 50m Fly and 100m Back, fifth in 100m Free, eighth in 50m Breast and 50m and ninth in 100m Breast. Amelia Grisak (9): Finished 14th in 100m Back and 17th in 50m Breast. Lillian Liebenberg (8): Finished sixth in 50m Fly. Isabelle McWilliams (9): finished seventh in 100m Back, 15th in 50m Back, 16th in 50m Breast and 20th in 100m Free and 50m Free. Olivia McWilliams (10): Finished first in 50m Back, second in 100m Back, third in 100m Breast and fourth in 200m Free and 100m Free. She also finished fifth in 50m Breast and 50m Free. Maria Robinson (10): Finished 10th in 100m Back, 11th in 100m IM., 15th in 50m Free, 16th in 100m Breast, 16th in 50m Back and 18th in 100m Free. Marsha Van Der Merwe (8): Finished third in 50m Fly, seventh in 50m Breast, ninth in 100m IM, 10th in 100m Breast, 11th 100 Free, 14th in 50m Free and 17th in 50m Back. Female 11-12 Nayla Berg (11): Finished fifth in 200m Back, seventh in 400m Free, ninth in 100m Breast, 10th in 200m Free and 50m Breast (new 11 and under provincial time) and 17th in 50m Fly.
