Two Medicine Hat Tigers’ prospects are leading the way at the annual WHL Cup.

Markus and Liam Ruck lead the under-16 tournament in scoring through two games with Team B.C. undefeated. The annual prospects tournament is being held in Red Deer with games played at the Peavy Mart Centrium, home of the Red Deer Rebels.

Both Markus and Liam scored twice and recorded three assists in B.C.’s 7-2 victory Thursday over Team Manitoba.

B.C. opened the five-day tournament with a 4-2 win over Saskatchewan on Wednesday. Liam had two goals with an assist and Markus added an assist in the win, setting up his brother’s first goal.

Liam’s four goals and five points puts him in first for tournament scoring.

Two other Tigers’ prospects are in the B.C. lineup, with defencemen Riley Steen and Koray Bozkaya donning the blue and white.

B.C. wraps up their tournament today with a 7 p.m. game against Team Alberta.
