Medicine Hat slow pitch teams find success at World Senior games

Medicine Hat was well represented at the World Senior Games.

Two local softball teams competed at the World Senior Games, hosted in St. George, Utah.

The Medicine Hat 65’s Huff N Puffs won gold in the 65 softball division, beating Boise, Idaho before topping the East West Aircraft team 21-9 in the gold medal game.

The Medicine Hat Huff and Puffs 60-64 travel team brought home two medals from a pair of tournaments in the southern United States this past week. The Huff & Puffs were a perfect 5-0 and captured the gold medal at the Mesquite, Nev. Senior Games.

They then won a silver medal at the Huntsman Senior World Games. In the semi final the Huff and Puffs defeated Imiola, Hawaii 19-12 before dropping 17-13 decision in the gold medal game to Daytona Beach, Flo.
