Local swimmer competes at Canadian championships

Rowynn Biffart finished off her summer season on the national stage.

The 14-year-old Medicine Hat swimmer competed at the 2023 Speedo Canadian Swimming Championships held in Toronto at the Pan Am Sports Centre. Across six days of racing, she qualified for an A or B final in all eight of her swims. She was in the A final for five of those races, finishing top four in four of them and on the podium three times.

Biffart took silver in the 100m Breast and 200m breast and won bronze in the 200m IM. She finished fourth in 50m Breast, ninth in 50m Free, 12th in 100m Back, 18th (in preliminaries) in 100m Fly and 19th in 100m Free.
