Med Hat Tennis Club hosts mixed doubles classic

The Medicine Hat Tennis Club hosted mixed doubles action this weekend.

There were 16 teams participating in the weekend tournament, competing in either the open or intermediate divisions.

Lauren and Riley Danroth won the open division, defeating Rocheal and Darren Howes 6-0, 2-6, 6-2. Margaret Klok and Ritchie Van Wert took the open division consolation, defeating CoraLee and Kevin Riehl 3-6, 7-6, 6-2.

Irene and Darryl Giesbrecht took the intermediate division, defeating Doris Deminick and Noel Thomas 6-1, 6-1. The intermediate division consolation went to Briar and Jess Ferris, who defeated Lilly Laurent and Lyle Garrecht 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.
