The Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club celebrated the Canada Day long weekend in usual fashion.
The local club held its annual Canada Day mixed triples tournament on Saturday.
In the tournament’s final game, the Mike Gilchrist led team of Jean Bresee and Malcolm Taylor defeated the Curt Moll-led team of Yvonne Sanregret, Linda Bower, and Cave Starling, 8-3.
The bronze-medal game saw the Wes Bresee-led team of Barb Moll and Braydon Gordon defeat the Doug Sanregret led team of Joyce-Ann Bacon and Frank Buck, 11-2.
The next tournament on the schedule for the Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club is the Medicine Hat Memorial Triples tournament, July 14-16. The Bowls Alberta tournament features clubs from Edmonton and Calgary competing against local talent.
