The Speedway hosted six classes of races Saturday with five unique winners. Ethan Guest won the Standard Jeep Ram Hobby stocks with Trevor Stratton coming in second place and Geoff Shoesmith in third. Les Neigum took first place in the Davis GMC elite streets race, finishing ahead of Trevor Neigum in second and Shawn Lowe in third place. Adam Faulks won the Just Smok’n V6 race, with David Keer finishing in second place and Jesse Voeller finishing third. Karlen Deschner won the Relay/SJ Trucking baby grand race with Ross Statham finishing second ahead of his son Brian Statham in third. Saturday’s races marked the first race day three generations of Stathams competed at the same time, with Brian’s eight-year-old son Rylan racing in the Minicup cars. The Minicup cars race was won by Berlyn McKay who finished in first place ahead of Thomas Hinse and Chase Sievenart in second and third place respectively. Dave Vennard won the SuperTrucks race to wrap up the weekend, finishing ahead of Rusty O’Connell and Dean Braham. The next race day at the Medicne Hat Speedway is the Dean Wakshinsky Memorial race on July 8. 11
