YMCA setting up June 17th events

The YMCA of Medicine Hat tee’d up some fundraising events for June 17.

The YMCA is hosting its 38th annual River Run and the second annual Sticks on First Street Hockey tournament.

The River Run, which offers runs of 3 km, 5 km, 10 km or a half marathon, is held to support the YMCA’s Strong Kids campaign. They say the campaign ensures the YMCA is accessible to all people, regardless of financial circumstances. Registration for the run can be found on the YMCA website.

The Sticks on First 4-on-4 street hockey tournament is held between the library and city hall with multiple rinks set up for action and food trucks on site.
