SALTA Gymnastics Club competes at provincials

sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews SALTA gymnastics club had athletes competing at the Alberta Compulsory Championships in Airdrie. The Junior Olympic level 3 and 4 competition took place from May 12-14 with SALTA Gymnastics sending five athletes to Compulsory’s this year. Four level 4s: Camryn Kingsley, Kapri Wirth, Skylar Berner and Kenzie Christensen and one level 3 Leah Christensen SALTA Athletes put their training to the test and brought back some hardware. Kinsgley snagged a silver medal on the uneven bars, a bronze medal on the balance beam placing her sixth allaround. Wirth topped the podium with a gold medal on the balance beam putting her seventh allaround. Berner finished seventh on bars, eighth on floor and 11th allaround. K. Christensen finished 10th on vault and 15th all-around while her sister L. Chirstensen finished eighth on Vault and 15th allaround. SALTA athletes head into the off season with proud moments and hopes of higher success next competition season. 6-5
