Local talent on display at 18th Fists of Fury

jtubb@medicinehatnews.com@ReporterTubb For the 18th year some of the top kickboxing and Muay Thai fighters will be on display in Medicine Hat. SACA Kickboxing is hosting its annual Fists of Fury event on April 29 at the Cypress Centre. There will be seven local athletes competing against other fighters travelling from across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. SACA coach Jamie Droeske says it will be a full house and is looking forward to the local talent being on display. “All of them have fought before and they have all been on Fists of Fury before,” Droeske said. “Hopefully, we’ll get some wins this year, we had a rough year last year. So hopefully, it’s going to be turned around and we get some wins out of them.” Tickets are available at eventbrite.ca with bleacher seats at $35 and floor seating at $40. Droeske says with how few fight events Medicine Hat hosts, it will be an exciting night full of entertainment. “It’s a unique event to support their local athletes and and it’s been going on for, this is the 18th year,” Droeske said. “So it’s really come a long way and it’s a really good production, the whole experience is really awesome.” 8-7
