Bulldogs track and field competes at provincials

The Medicine Hat Bulldogs Track and Field club competed at the indoor provincial championships Mar. 4-5.

The Bulldogs medaled three times at the provincial competition, winning two silvers a bronze and seven top-8 placements.

Finn Pasco competed in a U14 male multi-event format with each performance having a corresponding score with points being added up each day to settle the standings.

Saturday – Tetrathlon: sixth place overall

Second in 600m, eighth in shootout, 11th in long jump and 14th in 60m.

Sunday – Triathlon: seventh place overall

Fourth place in 150m, fourth in 1000m and 15th in high jump.

He had personal bests in all 7 of his events.

Laine Gautier (U18 Male)

Fourth place in 300m (personal best) and silver in 600m (personal best).

Justina Renke (U20 Female)

Second in 60m hurdles (personal best), third in weight throw and fifth in 60m sprint.

The Bulldogs’ next step is preparing for the outdoor season, ahead of the Alberta Summer Games and Team Alberta. Spring registration has begun, anyone interested can reach out at medicinehatbulldogstrackclub@gmail.com.
