Waves, AMAC swim clubs compete at provincials

Medicine Hat Waves and Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club swimmers competed at the provincial championships this past weekend.

Four Waves and five AMAC swimmers showcased their best at the provincial event hosted by Swim Alberta at the Kinsmen Sports Centre in Edmonton.

Here are the results from the local swimmers:

Waves

Girls 13-14

Rowynn Biffart (14): Finished first in 200m breast, fifth in 50m breast and 100m breast, eighth in 100m back and 200m IM, ninth in 50m free and 50m fly.

Sarah Kradovill (14): Finished 14th in 100m fly, 17th in 50m fly, 22nd in 50m back, 23rd in 50m breast, 29th in 100m back and 100m breast and 33rd in 50m free.

Boys 14-15

Kage Senft (14): Finished 16th in 50m back, 19th in 200m free, 20th in 100m back, 21st in 100m fly and 27th in 50m free.

Boys 16 and Over

Karsten Senft (17) Finished: 12th in 400m free, 14th in 200m back, 17th in 200m free and 50m back, 20th in 50m free, 20th in 50m free and 100m free and 22nd in 100m back.

AMAC

Female 13-14

Morgan Hobson (14): Finished 20th in 50m breast B-Finals, 21st in 200m breast, 26th in 100m breast, 40th in 100m free and 50m Fly, 42nd in 50m free and 50th 100m back.

Female 15 and over

Jaivyn Barabe (17): Finished third in 50m breast A-Finals, eighth in 100m Breast A-Final, 25th in 50m fly and 34th in 50m free.

Kristin Hollingworth (17): Finished 16th in 100m fly B-Final, 25th in 50m free and 100m free, 26th in 200m IM, 29th 50m breast and 31st in 50m fly.

Boys 13 and under

Caen McWilliams (13): Finished sixth in 1500m free, ninth in 200m back A-Final, 10th in 50m back A-Final, 12th in 100m back B-Final, 15th in 200m free, 25th in 50m free and 27th in 50m fly.

Boys 16 and over

Ashton Scholly (18): Finished sixth in 50m back A-Final, 14th in 100m back B-Final, 19th in 50m breast and 50m free B-Final, 21st in 100m in Free and 28th in 50m in fly.
