Twist and Flips gymnastics competes in Calgary invitational

The Twist and Flips gymnastics club competed in Calgary over the weekend.

The local club had eight members of its competitive boys and girls teams competed at the Ed Vincent Invitational.

Lauren Pancoast competed in the Level 3 different age category C and finished eighth in vault, seventh in uneven bars, second in balance beam, eighth in floor, giving her an all-around finish of fourth place.

Tenley Aberle and Adrianna Dewar each competed in the Level 3 age category B. Aberle had an all-around finish of fourth place after placing 11th in vault, second in uneven bars and first in balance beam.

Dewar finished 14th all-around with a 12th place finish in vault, 14th in uneven bars, 14 on balance beam and 13th in the floor event.

Myla Aberle was 19th out of 64 girls in Level 2, with a 42nd in vault, 14th place in uneven bars, 32nd in balance beam and eighth on the floor.

Lukas Young and Cade Boneville both competed at the Provincial 1 level.

Young finished in second place all-around after notching a seventh in floor, first in pummel horse, rings and horizontal bars, seventh in vault and fourth in parallel bars.

Boneville had an all-around finish of fifth with a ninth place in floor, third in pummel horse, seventh in rings, sixth in vault, fifth in parallel bars and third in horizontal bars.

Ian Mwaura competed Provincial 1 B level and finished with an all-around 10th. He had a ninth in floor, 10th in pummel horse, 10th in rings, 11th in vault, sixth in parallel bars and 12th in horizontal bars.

Isaac Mwaura finished fifth all around in the Provincial 1 D level. He had a first place finish on the floor, fourth in pummel horse, first in rings, 13th in vault, second in parallel bars and 10th in horizontal bars.
