SAHA women’s team opens weekend with win

The South Alberta Hockey Academy women’s team opened their four-game road weekend with a win.

SAHA beat RHA Winnipeg 2-1 Thursday.

Keira Grant and Kenzie Carson scored two first period goals for the Dunmore-based hockey academy and Maddy Ferguson turned aside 15 shots for the win.

They face St. Mary’s Academy tonight at 7:30 p.m., Edge School on Saturday and have a rematch with RHA Winnipeg on Sunday to wrap up the weekend.
