Rattlers roundup: Rattlers basketball look for big week after losing weekend

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers basketball teams had a difficult weekend against St. Mary’s University.

The men’s squad fell 92-65 on the road Friday and 82-70 at home on Saturday. Cooper Ward led the Rattlers on Friday with 31 points and 12 rebounds in 38 minutes on the court. He also led the way Saturday with 27 points and 17 rebounds.

The women’s team also squared off against St. Mary’s University, losing 77-47 on Friday and 76-48 on Saturday. Kirstie Johnstone had 12 points and three rebounds for the Rattlers on Friday, with Abrielle Watson adding 11 points, three rebounds and three assists as well.

Jordyn Knight led the Rattlers on Saturday with 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Rattlers men’s (9-7) and women’s (0-16) basketball teams have a quick turnaround as they host Lethbridge College on Friday before travelling to Lethbridge to take on the Kodiaks on Saturday.

This weekend the Rattlers men’s (2-13) and women’s (5-10) volleyball teams will play at Lethbridge College on Friday and host the Kodiaks on Saturday.
