sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat U18AA Hounds had themselves a winning weekend, taking their lone contest. The Hounds beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-3 on the road Sunday. Jacob Hazzard led the way offensively with two goals and an assist. Gavin Smith also tallied three points, notching a goal and two assists. Kaden Paulson had two goals and Wyatt Bower and Joey Hackett each had a goal and an assist. Silas Currie made 27 saves in the win. The Hounds (8-11-2) have two games this weekend, hosting the West Central Tigers on Saturday before facing CRAA Blue on the road Sunday. U16 The U16AA South East Athletic Club Tigers swept their weekend slate, beating Red Deer TBS 4-1 on Saturday and topping the West Central Panthers 5-3 on Sunday. Nolan Sutherland had two goals against Red Deer and Jack Hackett had a goal and an assist. Easton Kurpjuweit had a goal himself and Parker McLaughlin made 28 saves in the win. In Sunday’s win, Austin Murphy had two goals and two assists to lead the way with Kian Green, Davin Torgerson and Sutherland each adding a goal. Kurpjuweit had two assists and Adam Ranger turned aside 21 shots. The U16AA Tigers (9-4-5) are back in action with two home games this weekend, hosting the West Central Panthers on Saturday and CRAA Gold on Sunday. U15 The U15AAA SEAC Tigers had two contests this weekend, a 7-5 loss against the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday and a 3-2 loss to the Canadian Volvo of Edmonton on Sunday. In Saturday’s loss, Treyden Kleinknecht had two goals, Elijah Fleck had a goal and an assist, while Vann Boiteau and Brennan Finke each had a goal. Grady Brost had 28 saves in net. Kleinknecht led the way offensively on Sunday with both of the Tigers goals against CVC Edmonton. Hudson Corbett made 20 saves. The U15AAA Tigers (1-21-1) are not in action until Jan. 28 and 29. The U15AA Tigers also had two games this weekend, losing 7-1 against the Wheatland Warriors on Friday and 3-2 against the Foothills Bisons on Saturday. Ethan Grad had the lone goal against Wheatland and Kayden Van Ham made 26 saves. In Sunday’s loss, Jaxon Bohm and Griffin Aadland each had a goal and Mac Harvey-Zenk had 28 saves. The U15AA Tigers (3-15-4) have two home games this weekend, Friday against the Okotoks Oilers and Saturday against the Golden Suns. U13 The U13AA Medicine Hat Hounds had one game over the weekend, a 5-4 loss against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday. Cole Siewert had two goals, Carter Jarvis had a goal and an assist and Lucas Fisher rounded out the scoring with a goal. The Hounds (13-4-5) have two games this weekend, hosting the Hurricanes on Saturday before hitting the road Sunday against the Bow Valley Timberwolves. 23
