Later Saturday afternoon the Matrix dominated the Regina Royals, winning 7-4. Martin and Tindall found the back of the net twice with Unreiner, Allchurch and Stennick all getting on the scoresheet with a goal. Jackiw had four assists in the win.

The Matrix finished in first place, clinching a spot in the championship game Sunday with a rematch against the Buffalo Plains Outlaws, who they shut out 4-0 for gold.

Seale, Jackiw, Tindall and Heinrichs all scored to clinch the medal.

The Matrix have a couple weeks to practise until they host the Airdrie Smash on Jan. 21 at the Moose Recreation centre for 1:30 and 4 p.m. contests.
