They lost Saturday 11-1 against the CBHA Rangers; Hayden King had the Hounds’ lone goal and Tyler Wakelam made 28 saves. On Sunday they travelled to Okotoks and beat the Oilers 5-4 after a three-goal third period. Connor Palmer led the way offensively with two goals and three assists, King had three helpers, Jacob Hazzard added a goal and an assist and Gavin smith and Kaden Pahl rounded out the scoring with a goal each. Wakelam made 33 saves in the win. The U18AA Hounds (7-11-2) are back in action on Sunday in Lethbridge against the Hurricanes. U17 The U17AAA SEAC Tigers started their new year undefeated. Saturday they beat the Okotoks Oilers 4-1 with a goal and two assist performances from Kellin Hodgson and Will Bell. Kayden Yeaman had a goal and an assist and Joey Clarke had a goal of his own. Kayne Wright made 44 saves. On Sunday the Tigers went all the way with the Calgary Northstars, finishing tied 3-3 after overtime. Cash Olson, Yeaman and Clarke had SEAC’s goals and Gans made 34 saves. The U17AAA Tigers (7-7-2-2) aren’t in action again until Jan. 21. U16 The U16AA Hounds picked up a point over the weekend, losing 4-3 to the Okotoks Oilers on Saturday before tying Red Deer TBS 1-1 on Sunday. Nolan Sutherland and Colby Motz each had a goal and an assist and Jaxon Scrivener had a goal of his own in the loss. Parker McLaughlin made 26 saves. Ty Hanson had the Hounds lone goal in Sunday’s draw, Adam Ranger made 44 saves. The Hounds (7-4-5) are on the road this weekend against Red Deer and the West Central Panthers. U15 The U15AAA SEAC Tigers dropped both contests over the weekend, losing 6-4 Friday against the Lethbridge Golden Hawks and 6-3 against the Okotoks Oilers on Sunday. Kington Chisholm scored twice against Lethbridge, with Ty Wasyluk and Ethan Hall adding a goal each. Grady Brost made 24 saves. In Sunday’s loss, Elijah Fleck, Wasyluk and Hall had the Tigers goals with Brost making 34 saves. The U15AAA Tigers (1-18-1) have three games this weekend against the Red Deer Rebels, CAC Volvo of Edmonton and Oilers. The U15AA SEAC Tigers opened their second half with two losses, a 4-2 defeat against the West Central Tigers on Saturday and a 4-1 loss Sunday versus the Central Alberta Selects. Jaxon Bohrn and Brogan Verichisn each had a goal and Kayden Van Ham made 44 saves against West Central. Karter Kurpjuweit scored the only goal against Central Alberta with Mac Harvey-Zenk making 24 saves. The U15AA Tigers (3-13-4) have two games this weekend against the Wheatland Warriors and Foothills Bisons. U13 The U13AA Medicine Hat Hounds picked up three of a possible four points over the weekend, beating the Lethbridge Hurricanes 2-1 on Saturday before tying the Okotoks Oilers 6-6 on Sunday. Gage Bowal and Chase Droeske scored in the Hounds 2-1 win with Beckham Girletz getting assists on both goals. Paxton Smigelski made 40 saves. Carter Gilchrist and Lucas Fisher each had two goals in the Hounds 6-6 draw with Okotoks. Carter Jarvis and Droeske each added a goal and George Maser had two helpers, Braden Tschritter made 21 saves. The U13 Hounds (13-3-5) have one game this weekend, hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday. 29
