Med Hat Tennis hosts winter classic tournament

The Medicine Hat Tennis Club reignited its Winter Classic last weekend.

The club held the winter event at Big Marble Go Centre on Friday with 24 players participating in the memorial event for Renato Franchetto, who passed away in Dec. 2014.

Craig and Niall Weich defeated Riley Danroth and Sean Miller(6-1, 6-1) to win the open division.

Kerry McDowell and Murray Trollope defeated Messele and Mike Fentabil 8-4 to win the open consolation.

David Schnare and Lyle Garrecht defeated Noel Thomas and Bill Ramage 8-4 to win the Intermediate Division.
