MedHat Tennis hosting Winter tournament

The Medicine Hat Tennis Club is brushing off their tennis rackets for some mid-winter action.

The local club is reviving its Winter Classic doubles tournament Friday at the Big Marble Go Centre.

There will be 24 players split between two divisions, open and intermediate, and the tournament will run from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., with finals taking place at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This event is played in honour of club member Renato Franchetto, who passed away a few years ago and was extremely active in the club.
