Two more South Alberta Hockey Academy players will be suiting up in the 2023 Canada Winter Games.

Defender Kendal Davidson and forward Téa Pearce from the U18 women’s team were named Thursday to Team Alberta’s roster for the national games held in P.E.I. from Feb. 18 to Mar. 5.

SAHA women’s coach Evan Vossen will also take part in the Canada Games, serving as an assistant coach on Alberta’s womens team.

They join three members of SAHA’s U18 men’s team (defenceman Matthew Paranych, forwards Kadon McCann and Ryan Miller) as representatives for Alberta.

Hatters picked for Jr. A Challenge

Local goaltender Bodee Weiss and defenceman Tyler Miller were named Wednesday afternoon to the Canada West Selection Camp Roster for the 2022 World Junior A Challenge.

Both play in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with Weiss on the Bonnyville Pontiacs and Miller playing for the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

The World Junior A Challenge gets underway Dec. 11 and wraps up Dec. 18 ahead of the U20 IIHF World Juniors.
