Third annual Ski Swap this weekend

Medicine Hat skiers can once again turn their old equipment into cash and get some great bargains with the Canadian Ski Patrol – Palliser Zone’s third annual Ski Swap.

The Ski Swap will be held at South Ridge YMCA. Anyone can consign their used equipment and the ski patrol will sell it for them for a commission. Equipment registration and consignment starts today at 5 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.

Then on Saturday, there is a wide selection of skis, boots, poles for downhill and cross-country skis as well as snowboards and other skiing supplies and equipment available for purchase, also at the South Ridge YMCA. That sale runs 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

There will also be four retail stores in attendance, Gravity Sports and The Boarding House from Medicine Hat and Alpenland and Boarderline from Lethbridge.

Proceeds from the Ski Swap stay in the community and go toward the purchase of first aid and rescue equipment as well as the safety and education programs of the Canadian Ski Patrol in Palliser Zone.
