The Medicine Hat College Rattlers soccer teams were on the road this weekend taking on the ACAC’s best. The Rattlers men’s and women’s teams were at Olds College on Saturday and SAIT on Sunday. The men’s team open their weekend with a 2-0 loss to the Olds College Broncos. Ross Wilder had five saves in the loss. They took on the Trojans Sunday and lost 8-0, with Wilder and Maksymilian Slaweta combining efforts in net with 10 saves combined. The Rattlers women’s team opened their weekend with a draw against the Broncos. Allyssa Heidel made eight saves in the contest as her teammates fired off eight shots against the Olds College net minder. Sunday’s match was a lopsided affair as SAIT beat the Rattlers 10-0, with Heidel making 20 saves. The Rattlers men’s team (0-5-3) has one game on the schedule this weekend as they get set to host the Red Deer Polytechnic on Sunday. The women’s team(1-7-1) has a pair of games, as they welcome the University of Alberta-Augustana on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match before also taking on the Polytechnic on Sunday. The women’s game Sunday gets started at noon with the men’s match starting at 2 p.m. 7
