31 MHC Rattlers named CCAA National Scholars

By MEDICINE HAT NEWS on September 23, 2022.

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers have been putting in the work in the classroom and in their respective sports.

The college announced via press release Thursday that 31 student-athletes were named Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Scholar Award winners for the 2021-22 season.

To be recognized as a CCAA National Scholar, an athlete must be named to the honour role at their institution. At least one athlete from each of the Rattlers athletics programs – golf, cross-country, basketball, volleyball, soccer and futsal – were recognized.

“We are pleased to see such a large number of Rattlers’ student-athletes be awarded this prestigious honour”, says Terry Ballard, manager of athletics and recreation. “Succeeding as a student while going through the rigors of an athletic season is an outstanding achievement and we are extremely proud of each athlete.”
