Medicine Hat Tennis Club crown mixed doubles champs

The Medicine Hat Tennis Club hosted its open mixed doubles tournament last week, wrapping up Saturday.

Tracy and Calvin Heller won the open division championship, defeating Lauren and Riley Doth, 6-3, 7-5. The win marks the ninth time the Hellers have won the mixed doubles championship since 2011.

Sandy McIntosh and Kerry McDowell won the open consolation finals by defeating CoraLee Riehl and Jose Polit, 6-3, 6-4.

In the intermediate division, Doris Deminick and Noel Thomas defeated Irene and Darryl Giesbrecht, 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 to win the championship.

Jenessa Lehman and Josh Gazdag were the intermediate consolation champions after defeating Tiffany and Alex Stevens 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
