The Medicine Hat Tigers have signed yet another member of their 2022 WHL draft class.

The Tigers announced Tuesday afternoon they had put pen to paper with goaltender Jordan Switzer. The Edmonton product was selected by the Tigers 111th in the 2022 WHL draft.

He appeared in 14 games with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep team during the 2021-22 season, registering a 12-1 record with a 2.06 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage.

“Jordan is an athletic goalie who is technically and structurally solid. He has a calm demeanour, great mobility and fast hands,” Tigers director of player personnel Bobby Fox said in a team release.

The 15-year-old is the fifth member of the Tigers 2022 draft class to sign their WHL player agreements. He joins first overall pick Gavin McKenna, 16th pick Hayden Harsanyi, 23rd pick Kadon McCann and 45th pick Matthew Paranych as 2007 born players to commit to the team.

“Jordan has a track record for winning,” said Tigers general manager and head coach Willie Desjardins. “He had an excellent camp and we are looking forward to having him as part of our future. We are excited to welcome Jordan and his family to the organization.”
