Mavs dealt big loss in Regina on Tuesday

The Medicine Hat Mavericks got in tough Tuesday night.

The Mavericks allowed 10 runs in the first four innings in Regina against the Red Sox to fall 10-1. Tuesday’s game was their third of four games with the final matchup of the week going Wednesday night in Regina.

The Mavericks got their lone run in the top of the seventh inning on a sacrifice hit from designated hitter Zach Stark that scored first basemen Hunter Boylan from third. Medicine Hat was held to three hits in the loss, with centre fielder Braden DeSonia, right fielder David Dell and second baseman Deon Reese notching the markers.
