Florkowski finishes second in arm impairment flight at USGA Adaptive Open

By MEDICINE HAT NEWS on July 21, 2022.

Jesse Florkowski was in the fight until the end at the USGA Adaptive Open this week.

The 32-year-old Medicine Hat product finished tied for ninth overall in the men’s standings after shooting a 79 Wednesday at the adaptive tournament, held at Pinehurst, N.C.

Florkowski, a one-armed golfer, was leading the arm impairment flight heading into the final day before finishing the tournament in second place by one stroke as Ireland’s Conor Stone took first place in the flight.

He shot a 75 opening round on Monday and followed that up with an 77 on Tuesday.

Florkowski entered the three-day tournament on the heels of winning his seventh North American One-Armed Golfer Association championship at the Salish Cliffs Golf Club in Shelton, Wash. on June 24.
